2016-04-12_1430

New episodes of The Mindy Project begin today on Presto.

Season 4 begins streaming from 4pm today, just hours after their U.S. broadcast on hulu.

Mindy (Mindy Kaling) faces her greatest challenge yet as she struggles to balance work with being a mum, all while her tumultuous relationship with Danny gets even messier. She’s joined by Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) and the rest of the staff of Shulman and Associates as they welcome some new faces (like Garret Dillahunt as Jody, a sexist Southern rascal) and tangle with old rivals like the Midwives upstairs. The Mindy Project continues to deliver its unique mix of wild comedy and heartfelt romance.

The Mindy Project is a single-camera comedy series created, written by and starring Emmy-nominated writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author, Mindy Kaling (The Office).

Presto also has Seasons 1 through 4 available.

Does anyone watch their show? Is it any good? Why is her dress so long? Did she always have that neck tat? Is he allergic to shaving products? Is he studying to be a priest?

Darlings, we fear we have far too many questions to come to definitive conclusions about them. Feel free to answer them all.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Coach at Marie Claire’s “Fresh Faces” Party

Gugu Mbatha-Raw attends the “Fresh Faces” party hosted by Marie Claire celebrating the May issue cover stars in Los Angeles, California.

For most of this month, we’ve been screaming and yelling and bitching and moaning and wailing and gnashing over the fact that we were all being forced to suffer through a red carpet micro-trend of black dresses in spring. And we had good reason to scream and yell and bitch and moan and wail and gnash because the dresses have been ranging from ugly to boring, for the most part (with some rare exceptions).

But here comes Miss Gugu, shutting us right up by reminding us how cute an LBD can be:

We feel like she just walked up to us in mid-rant, put a finger to our lips and said “Hush, now. I’m here.”

This look is both adorable and flawlessly chic. There is not a thing we’d change or critique. We are effectively shut up. But we reserve the right to scream and yell and bitch and moan and wail and gnash about the next set of widow’s weeds to step out on the RC.

The “No pictures, please” face and attitude is kind of hard to sell when you’re wearing a getup that was clearly chosen more for modeling than for air travel. C’mon now, girl. We can taste your thirst from here. No one in first class wants to see the results of your abs routine.

Also, that is entirely too much brushed and frayed denim for one ensemble.

Zendaya-Coleman-Marie-Claire-Fesh-Faces-Party-Red-Carpet-Fashion-Chanel-Tom-Lorenzo-Site (7)How ironic that the freshest look we’ve seen all week is coming straight out of 1994. It’s all cyclical, darlings. We’re having another of those “wear your bra in public” moments in fashion and we’re tickled pink that Miss Z chose to interpret this new(ly returned) trend by showing off a little respect for history and reaching into the archives. Nicely done. She looks supermodel/House of Style flawless – and yet totally 2016.

Seven to sue exec over “serious fraud”

The assets of Seven’s commercial manager of programming, John Fitzgerald, have been frozen after the NSW Supreme Court heard evidence of “serious and ongoing fraud”.

ABC reports until very recently, Fitzgerald was responsible for high-level accounting and financial reporting at the Seven Network and had responsibility for the finances of television production, sport, news and public affairs, overseas bureaux and programming. He had approval to authorise individual payments up to $55,000.

The court heard he had admitted to falsifying invoices.

Seven is now preparing to sue over ‘long-standing invoice racket’ after telling the court it uncovered “payments going back over a number of years.”

Assets including $1 million in a superannuation fund and $2.5 million in cash and shares have been frozen. There was no suggestion his wife knew of the alleged fraud.

Seven did not respond to ABC enquiries.

Tonight SBS begins a six part documentary series, The Story of China.

Presenter Michael Wood takes the viewer on a historical adventure, exploring the stories, people and landscapes that have helped create China’s distinctive character and genius over 4,000 years.

Starting in Wuxi, he joins the Qin family reunion where 300 relatives gather to worship their ancestors on ‘Tomb Sweeping Day’. He journeys to the plain of the Yellow River, joins a million pilgrims at the shrine of ancient Goddess Nuwa who made the first people from the yellow mud of the Yellow River.

Travelling back in time to 2,000BCE for the origins of the Chinese state, he sees an exquisite turquoise dragon sceptre, China’s first writing on ‘oracle bones’, and learns of the Age of Confucius, before returning to the temple fair in Henan for a ceremony to give thanks to the ancestors.

Vale: Barbara Jungwirth

Character actress, Barbara Jungwirth, one of the longest-serving cast members on Prisoner, has died.

According to social media she never recovered from a fall at Christmas.

Jungwirth played the role of Lorna Young every season, from 1979 – 1986. Her character was frequently seen in the background as part of Wentworth Detention Centre’s resident inmates before more prominent appearances.

Friend Simon Hall posted on Facebook, “Barbara was born in London and retained a fondness for the country of her birth (“I would love to come back and paddle in the English Channel”). At the age of 17 she married an Australian serviceman, and emigrated with him after World War II. Life as a so-called ‘bush bride’ was not always easy, but Barbara soon found work as a singer before landing a job as the compere of a leading Melbourne club. Studying at Crawfords Drama School (where she was given a Master Class by no less than Bud Tingwell), she soon found work in shows like Homicide, Division 4, Skyways, The Box, and The Sullivans. Then in 1978 her agent put her forward for a new Channel 10 drama set in a women’s prison… and the rest is history: ‘Who could have foreseen 20 episodes would go onto 8 years?'”

She also appeared in Neighbours, The Flying Doctors, Good Guys Bad Guys, Something in the Air, The Damnation of Harvey McHugh, The Lancaster Miller Affair and Melvin, Son of Alvin and Dogs in Space.

A fervent supporter of Prisoner‘s fan reunion events, she was once asked about being one of the show’s longest serving cast member.

“Yes, along with Elspeth Ballantyne and Hazel Henley. I was first seen when Bea is returned to Wentworth, I was in the garden, and right through to the series end!” she said.

“The children in the street know me and they would stop me and ask me what I was in for. I’d say, ‘I shot my parents because I wanted to go to an orphans picnic!’ I often got asked why I was in Prisoner and I’d just come up with the one about the frozen leg of lamb!”

Whether it’s reading more books, learning a new language or working out regularly, achieving your goals can be really hard. One day it's "I got called into a last-minute meeting." The next day it's "I have a friend in town." And before you know it, your goals are delayed or forgotten. In fact, with all the things you need to do in a given week, it’s probably harder than ever to find the time—even when your goal really matters to you.

That’s why starting today, we’re introducing Goals in Google Calendar. Just add a personal goal—like “run 3 times a week”—and Calendar will help you find the time and stick to it.

Goals are easy to set up
To set a goal (like “Work out more”), simply answer a few questions (like “How often?” and “Best time?”), and you’re all set. From there Calendar will look at your schedule and find the best windows to pencil in time for that goal.

Goals adjust to your busy life
Goals aren't easy—especially when the unexpected comes up—but Calendar can help you adjust in a number of important ways. For example, Calendar will automatically reschedule if you add another event that's a direct conflict with a goal.
Goals%2Breschedule_FINAL.gif
You can also can defer a goal at any time, and Calendar will make time for it later.
Goals%2Bdefer_FINAL.gif
Finally, Calendar actually gets better at scheduling the more you use it—just defer, edit or complete your goals like normal, and Calendar will choose even better times in the future.
Goals%2Bcomplete_FINAL.gif
Calendars should help you make the most of your time—not just be tools to track events. So as Google Calendar turns 10 today (🎉), we're excited to invest in more updates like Goals, and to help you find time for everything that matters—from your daily must-dos, to exercising more, to just a little "me time."

To get started, download the Google Calendar app for Android or iPhone, and set your first goal.

Nine has scheduled a UK documentary, President Trump: Can He Really Win?, looking at US presidential candidate Donald Trump for 9:15pm Sunday.

Donald trump has emerged as the clear front runner for the republican presidential nomination. Matt Frei investigates whether ‘the Donald’ could make it all the way to the White House.

This aired in the UK at the end of March.

It screens at 9:15pm Sunday followed by the premiere of a new series World’s Toughest Prisons at 10:20pm.

Normally you have to be a war criminal, gangland executioner, rapist or psychopath to secure a room in one of the world’s toughest prisons. Paul Connolly is none of the above but he heads to Honduras to spend a week living inside Danli Prison.

Hopefully this doesn’t include Lebanese prisons….
